About demining machine VF-100

Demining machine "VF-100" is located in company Istrazivac ltd., Nustar, Croatia.

The machine was originally manufactured in AHWI Machinenbau GmbH, Germany. It was manufactured in year 2009 and it was working in area of Republic of Croatia as vegetation removal machine. By the end of the year 2009 company Istrazivac d.o.o. Nustar bought the machine, and redesigned it into a demining machine. Before the redesigning, machine was used with original AHWI spare parts. When bought, machine had zero working hours.

Company Istrazivac ltd., Nustar, redesigning original machine into man controlled demining machine, which complies with all quality standards in demining jobs. Existing machine cabin was removed and set up armor shield which includes all machine electronics. Armor shield was constructed with a HARDOX 450 boards, thickness 15 mm.

Cabin has level II balistic protection that ensuers protections from mine splinters, noise and vibrations. Also, demining machine includes class ABC 6kg anti-fire kit. Cabine includes basic entrance/exit for one person, and also emergency exit on the roof of the cabin. Windshield, windows and all other surfaces are made from balistic glass that has several levels of glass to prevent penetration of splinters inside the machine.

Working tool (cultivator RF1000) width is 2,6m, and total working tools width is 3,08m. Machine VF-100 has weight of 18 tons without working tools, and total of 22 tons with working tools., it moves on caterpillars, and main engine type is DEUTZ BF 6M 10 15 CP, with power of 300 kW or 408 Hp, hydraulic engine. Power transfer is made by cardan.
